Join the dynamic Professional team at Crondon Park Golf Club, a renowned establishment recently recognised among the Top 20 in the county. As we embark on a comprehensive 5-year development plan, investing significantly in our course and clubhouse, we are seeking a Trainee/PGA Assistant to play a pivotal role in our continued success.


We are looking for an individual with a passion for golf, who exudes enthusiasm and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment and be committed to delivering exceptional service to our members and visitors.


This role offers a unique chance to unleash your coaching potential, with access to an 18-hole golf course, a 9-hole par 3 course, and a state-of-the-art covered floodlit driving range. Alongside coaching responsibilities, you will spend 30 hours per week in the Professional Shop or overseeing the driving range, gaining valuable experience and insights into the industry.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service to members and visitors by assisting with inquiries, offering advice on products and services, and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.

  • Retail Sales: Managing the sale of golf equipment, apparel, accessories, and other merchandise available in the pro shop. This includes handling transactions, processing payments, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

  • Membership Services: Assisting members with membership inquiries, sign-ups, renewals, and any related administrative tasks. Providing information on membership benefits and privileges.

  • Tee Time Management: Coordinating tee times for golfers, including scheduling reservations, managing cancellations or changes, and ensuring efficient use of course resources.

  • Equipment Services: Conducting custom club fittings for golfers to optimize their equipment choices based on individual preferences and performance goals. Additionally, performing club repairs and adjustments as needed.

  • Phone and Email Correspondence: Answering phone calls and responding to emails to address inquiries, book tee times, and provide information about pro shop products and services.

  • Promotional Activities: Assisting with marketing and promotional efforts to drive pro shop sales, such as coordinating special events, sales promotions, or product demonstrations.

  • Administrative Tasks: Performing various administrative duties as needed, such as record-keeping, filing, ordering supplies, and assisting with other operational tasks to support the overall functioning of the pro shop.


Comprehensive training will be provided, covering all aspects of the role, accompanied by a competitive compensation package, including a commission structure.
