Legacy Golf Advisors are working with Whitchurch (Cardiff) Golf Club on the recruitment of a new General Manager. The Club was founded in 1914, lies just three miles north of the City of Cardiff. Whitchurch is a challenging parkland course, which has been host in recent years to both County and National Events and is set to host the Women’s and Men’s Welsh Amateur Championship in 2025.
The Club is thriving with a waiting list for new members. The Club has recently (2022) switched from a Committee model to that of a four-person Board. The Board work closely with the General Manager to develop and deliver the Club’s strategic plan.
The General Manager will be responsible for the overall, day to day management of this busy members Club, its departments and employees with a key focus on the delivery and implementation of the Club’s strategic plan.
The Club are looking for a General Manager that will be visible to members, inspire and motivate the Clubs staff and work closely with all the key stakeholders to deliver a great experience both on and off the course.
The Club has a progressive Board that has a modern approach to governance. The General Manager will be a key player in continuing the progress that Club has taken in recent years to establish itself as the Club of choice in the Cardiff area.
This role will suit a manager with a progressive mindset, that engages with members and has a desire to make things happen.
A competitive package will be offered commensurate with a club of Whitchurch’s stature.
