A unique opportunity has arisen to appoint a new Chief Operations Officer / Hospitality Operations Manager (COO/HOM) at Chislehurst Golf Club with demonstrable financial acumen, outstanding communication skills, customer service excellence and the requisite skill-set and passion to lead the Club’s hospitality offering.

 

Overview:

Camden Place is a grade II* listed building which, since 1894, has been the magnificent home of Chislehurst Golf Club. The building is of great architectural and historic importance that we are continuing to research and understand. It was certainly a house fit for royalty and in 1870 Camden Place became the home of Napoleon III.  Queen Victoria is amongst the many leading figures who visited Camden Place.

Key Responsibilities:

The Chief Operations Officer / Hospitality Operations Manager  will be part of the Management Team and report directly to the CEO on a day-to-day basis. They will be responsible for managing the bar and catering operations to deliver an excellent guest and member experience. The will also be required to manage, instruct, and develop team members and work within all budgeted guidelines. Specifically, the Chief Operations Officer / Hospitality Operations Manager will be responsible for performing the following, but not limited to, tasks at the highest standards.

·       Manage all bar and catering operations.

·       Maintain excellent levels of customer service.

·       Recruit, manage, instruct, and develop the F&B team to create an environment that promotes employee morale and encourages effective teamwork.

·       Manage member/guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.

·       Work within budgeted guidelines and ensure effective planning and forecasting of F&B activities.

·       Drive Events and sales to maximise budgeted revenue.

·       Stimulate profitability for the F&B operation through effective pricing and menu planning within club policy.

·       Accountable for monthly stocktakes.

·       Regularly review product quality, member/guest satisfaction and profitability with the Caterer and CEO.

·       Ensure rostering, holiday and absences are managed as per forecast requirements.

·       Ensure payroll cost is always managed.

·       Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures that will maintain high quality operations.

·       Comply with security, fire regulations and all Health & Safety legislation.

 

v  Experience of working at a golf club, or golf club knowledge is desirable for the role.

v  The successful candidate should have excellent management skills and flexibility in managing all departments of the golf club in the absence on the CEO.
