In its current ownership since July 2021, The Bristol is anything but a traditional Golf Club, having a reputation within golf for pushing the boundaries and thinking differently. With a superb 18 hole course, 9 hole par 3 course, and a 17 bay Toptracer range, the venue is home to the revolutionary Golfway Academy looking beyond the Clubs boundaries to bring golf to a whole new audience. Located beside junction 17 of the M5 motorway the Club boasts a flexible layout within its Grade 2 listed clubhouse with bar, restaurant, multiple function rooms and conference rooms. We are now looking for a proven professional to maximise the potential these facilities provide.

What we are looking for:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven Manager to help develop all non-golf business at The Bristol. We are looking for a customer focused leader with an engaging and outgoing character to bring our venue to life and ensure all members and visitors have a truly memorable experience. You need to demonstrate a background within a high volume, fast paced leisure or hospitality environment and really enjoy customer contact. The successful candidate will join the senior management team of Golf Operations Manager and Course Manager and have full P&L responsibility for food and beverage, conference, banqueting and events, reporting to the board on a monthly basis.

Ø Constantly assess, improve and evolve the customer experience

Ø Keep site presentation to the highest standards

Ø Identify strategies to attract and retain new customers

Ø Regularly review F&B, conferencing and event offerings

Candidate Profile:

Ø A strong background in leisure or hospitality management

Ø IT literate with a good understanding of financial results

Ø Excellent communication skills

Ø Excellent time-management, organisation, and follow-through

Ø Strong decision-making skills

Ø Self-motivated with high self-awareness and integrity

Ø Some golf knowledge may be an asset but is not essential.

Remuneration: A highly attractive remuneration package is available commensurate with the role and a golf club in Bristol of this prestige and profile. Relocation assistance could be provided, if required.
