As part of the Golf Services Team and reporting to the Head of Golf Operations the position is pivotal in delivering a great golfing experience to our members and guests. The key ingredient for this role is retail expertise, knowledge of golf is not essential as this can be taught. The Golf Shop is the hub of our Golf Operation and as such is the point of welcome for all our members and guests. This presents the retail team with multiple sales and service opportunities, our Retail Manager will recognise this and be commercial savvy to maximise these interactions.
You will have enjoyed a minimum of three years retail management experience within a fashion or leisure business, be comfortable leading a team, have a flair for merchandising and a passion for customer service.
• Training, coaching, and developing your team.
• Exhibit high personal standards and lead from the front.
• Increase sales in store and ensure profitability.
• Achieving company KPI's, sales, margin, and stock levels
• Keeping up with current trends, including competitor analysis.
• Stock control, orders, stock takes, administration of EPOS.
• Merchandise store to maximize sales opportunities.
• Overview ancillary services, Driving Range and Buggy fleet.
• Lead the launch of the custom club fitting studio.
• A professional demeanour, building reputation with both staff and the membership.
