An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an ambitious individual with previous golf management experience and proven business development, sound leadership, hands-on team management and strong people skills.
The aim of the Golf Manager is to provide a first class golf and retail experience for all members and guests at Canterbury Golf Club. They will be required to help source new revenue streams and ensure the efficient running of all Golf events, including competitions and handicaps, at Canterbury Golf Club and the driving range.
Duties include:
To oversee a first class retail and golfing experience for all members and guests of Canterbury Golf Club.
To liaise with the teams at the club, who are responsible for the day to day golf activities.
To sell, endorse and promote all products within the Canterbury Golf Club operation.
Dealing with all telephone and e-mail enquiries relevant to your department.
Be responsible for updating tee sheets and liaising with external partners.
Overseeing the day to day golf shop operation at the club.
General Responsibilities:
To adhere to all statutory requirement regarding fire, health, safety and hygiene.
To participate in cross/multi skilled training within your department or other departments as deemed appropriate by your Manager.
To carry out any reasonable instructions as directed by the General Manager or Director.
To deal with all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times
To maintain a high level of dress and appearance at all times adhering to company uniforms
To attend any training sessions as requested and adhere to all company regulations
To ensure that this job description is kept relevant and updated at all time. To inform the General Manager of any changes, addition or deletions.
From time to time you may require to carry out duties outside the normal sphere of work as may be reasonably by Management
To promote the club at every opportunity

Demonstrate excellent selling and communication skills
Sound understanding of golf operating software, particularly Intelligent Golf
Remuneration:
We offer a competitive and negotiable salary and benefits package commensurate with the knowledge and experience of the applicant. Reporting to the General Manager you will be expected to work a 5-day week, incl some weekends.
