An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented, self-motivated and ambitious manager to join this prestigious Club as its new General Manager.
Once described by Henry Cotton as ‘Golf’s best kept secret’ and founded in 1891, Sheringham Golf Club is an ambitious Members’ club with a long and distinguished golfing pedigree. Currently ranked 75th in England’s top 100 courses the Club regularly host County and Regional events, has a full and growing membership with a waiting list and our increasing popularity with visitors continues to reflect the quality and value of exhilarating visitor experience in a stunning cliff top setting.
The successful applicant will be working with an ambitions Board. In March 2023 the members voted in support of changing the governance and the board is concluding the work on the development of the 5-year strategic plan.
Reporting to the Board, the General Manager is responsible for managing all the operational aspects of a busy Members’ club and, given the typically voluntary nature of the Board, will play a key role in developing and influencing the implementation of the club’s strategic plan.

To be prepared to be flexible in working hours to meets the demands of this position. Working with a high degree of autonomy but seeking Board and Committee approval for key decisions as required.
