General Manager, Hounslow Golf Park

Brand new Golf-themed entertainment complex opened July 2022

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven General Manager to help develop the Hounslow Golf Park business in it’s very first year. We are looking for a customer focused leader with an engaging and outgoing character to bring our venue to life and ensure all visitors have a truly memorable experience. You need to demonstrate a background within a high volume, fast paced leisure or hospitality environment and really enjoy customer contact. The successful candidate will have full P&L responsibility and report to shareholders on a quarterly basis. This is very much a hands on role, working with two Assistant General Managers.


About Hounslow Golf Park

Opened in July 2022, Hounslow Golf Park is a state-of-the-art golf-themed entertainment facility in South West London. The site has 36 holes of dinosaur themed adventure golf, 55 premium driving range bays with augmented reality games, tables and sofas, a 9 hole synthetic beginners golf course, and a café, As part of a group of golf entertainment venues you will also benefit from the experience and support of the other sites. We have developed a reputation in the golf industry for pushing the boundaries and thinking differently.


Key Responsibilities of the General Manager include;


Leadership & management:

Ø Inspire a culture of excellence with open communication with team members.

Ø Recruit, train and supervise team

Ø Consistently drive high operational standards with an obsessive attention to detail

Ø Bring the energy, every day

Ø Constantly assess, improve and evolve the customer experience

Ø Keep site presentation to the highest standards


Strategy:

Ø Identify strategies to attract and retain new customers

Ø Chair weekly management meeting and share operational insights to the team

Ø Prepare monthly financial review to discuss with management team.

Ø Attend quarterly group meeting to discuss results, marketing & best practice.

Ø Regularly review F&B & golf entertainment offerings and margin & update as necessary.

Ø Work with Assistant General Managers to develop on-going strategy


Candidate Profile:

Ø A background in leisure, hospitality or retail

Ø Some golf knowledge would be an asset

Ø Good understanding of financial results.

Ø Excellent communication skills

Ø Excellent time-management, organisation, and follow-through

Ø Strong decision-making skills

Ø Self-motivated with high self-awareness and integrity

Ø Openly receives feedback and coaching, and reacts accordingly


Remuneration: A salary and benefits package commensurate with the importance and seniority of this role will be offered.
