Club Operations Assistant - Royal Cinque Ports

Royal Cinque Ports is one of the premier golf clubs in the UK and is renowned throughout the golfing world. To maintain this reputation and continue to thrive, the Club needs a team of dedicated, professional, and enthusiastic people working for it. It is of paramount importance that the quality of the Member and Visitor experience is of the highest standard.

Reporting directly to the Golf & Membership Secretary, the Club Operations Assistant will play a key role within a friendly and forward-thinking team.

The responsibilities and characteristics of this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Golf Assisting with the management of the tee booking system, ensuring that information is up to date and accurate

Welcoming visitors and informing them on relevant Club information, such as dress code and handicap requirements.

Also, to include up-selling the Club’s extra services, such as catering

Helping to develop new green fee business

Starting and marshalling of Member & Visitor golf to ensure they abide by the rules and play in a timely manner


Dealing with day-to-day Member queries in a timely and professional manner

Supporting the Golf & Membership Secretary with managing the Club’s membership database, ensuring that changes in information are accurately recorded

Helping members with the Club website


Assisting with the running of competitions – from the planning stage through to completion


Assisting with the organisation of the Club’s dinners and other social functions

Desired Attributes/ Qualifications

A thorough understanding of golf and its traditions CMAE qualification or similar golf qualification would be an advantage Service and member-focused attitude Good telephone and email manner Application Process:
