CLUB MANAGER – STONEHAM GOLF CLUB

Stoneham Golf Club has an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking Club Manager to take responsibility for all day-to-day operational responsibilities including staff and financial accountability.


A regular in Golf World and Today’s Golfer Top 100 courses in England, Stoneham Golf Club was established in 1908 in an old deer park. Willie Park Jnr, designer of Sunningdale Old Course, created a wonderful course in the undulating heath and parkland. The Club is a private members Club run by a Management Committee, with a current membership of around 850 playing members with a very strong waiting list.


The Role

We are looking for a driven, passionate and ambitious candidate who will work with the Management Committee to ensure the best possible golfing experience for members and visitors alike. The Club Manager will play an important role in making sure the club achieves its operational, financial and strategic targets.


Key Responsibilities

Complete responsibility for all aspects of running and administration of the club, working closely with our course manager, catering and pro shop franchises, and leading a small but effective full time office team.


About you:

Ø A natural leader, able to build relationships with excellent interpersonal skills.

Ø A team player, good communication skills, verbal and written.

Ø Positive approach with staff and members.

Ø Able to effectively liaise with Management Committee and deliver agreed outcomes.

Ø Sound working knowledge of finance, including budgeting and golf IT software.

Ø Manage budget objectives with strong attention to detail.

Ø Substantial managerial experience and qualifications within the golfing industry.


Remuneration:

An attractive remuneration package is available commensurate with the role and a golf club of this prestige and profile. Relocation assistance could be provided, if required.
